Job Summary
A growing and well-established immigration law practice in Miami is seeking a Bilingual Immigration Removal Defense Attorney to join its team. This role is ideal for an attorney with 1–2 years of experience who is looking to build or expand their expertise in immigration court and removal defense. Training and mentorship are available for candidates eager to grow in this area of law.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in immigration court, handling removal and deportation defense cases
- Manage a high-volume caseload (150+ active matters) with team support
- Prepare and file motions, applications, and legal briefs
- Develop case strategies and conduct legal research
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding case status and legal options
- Appear before immigration courts and coordinate with government agencies
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with deadlines and procedures
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- 1–2 years of legal experience required; immigration law experience preferred
- Exposure to removal defense or immigration court proceedings is highly desirable
- Licensed and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- Ability to manage a high caseload in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
