Job DescriptionLHH is assisting an Amlaw 200 Law Firm located in the Uptown Dallas area seek a Business Litigation Paralegal. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting attorneys in complex commercial litigation matters and will play a critical role in case management, discovery, and trial preparation. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Benefits:

  • Salary ranges from $75,000 - $100,000 DOE
  • Discretionary year-end bonus available to paralegals based on performance and firm financials.

Interview Process:

  • Step 1: Initial phone interview with HR to provide mutual insight into the firm and the role.
  • Step 2: If mutually aligned, a follow-up video or in-person interview with team members in the office.
  • Decision: Typically made after the second round. The process generally consists of two steps

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support up to 4 attorneys
  • Focused on complex litigation
  • Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including case intake, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
  • Draft, proofread, and format legal documents such as pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence
  • Manage case files and maintain organized electronic and physical records
  • Coordinate and manage document production, including e-discovery platforms and databases
  • Conduct factual and legal research under attorney supervision
  • Prepare deposition summaries, chronologies, and trial binders
  • File documents with state and federal courts, including e-filing
  • Track deadlines and manage litigation calendars
  • Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel professionally and effectively
  • Support attorneys during hearings, depositions, and trials as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of paralegal experience in business litigation in a Texas law firm environment....tenure very important...no job hoppers, please
  • One of the following is strongly preferred: (1) Bachelors degree; (2) Paralegal certificate or Associates degree in Paralegal Studies; or (3) Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) designation
  • Experience with complex case management and high-volume document review, Intellectual Property Litigation is a bonus but not required
  • Familiarity with trial preparation and courtroom procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and litigation support software
  • Strong understanding of court rules and procedures (state and federal)
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Availability to work additional hours during time-sensitive phases of litigation
