Join a dynamic educational environment dedicated to making a difference in students’ lives as a Physical Therapist on a contract basis. This opportunity is based near Argyle and Flower Mound, TX, and is ideal for professionals passionate about helping elementary-aged children achieve their highest potential.
Work 20 hours per week throughout the 26/27 school year, supporting a caseload of 12-15 elementary students. Collaborate closely with school staff and families to provide comprehensive physical therapy services tailored to each child’s unique needs.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Texas
- Previous experience in a school setting is essential
- Strong understanding of pediatric therapy practices and IEP processes
- Excellent communication skills with children, educators, and families
- Ability to function independently as well as cooperatively within a team
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive educational experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ physical development and mobility needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans in collaboration with educators and staff
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations
- Document progress and adjust interventions to maximize student success
- Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to support students’ physical participation in school activities
