Make a meaningful impact supporting K-12 students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth as a School Psychologist for the upcoming academic year. This contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 school year across two locations in northwestern Illinois, with one position based in East Aurora and another as an itinerant role covering multiple schools in Algonquin, Carpentersville, and Hampshire. Bilingual Spanish/English skills are a plus for the itinerant position but not mandatory.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychology endorsement for grades K-12
- Master’s degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Experience working in a school setting with K-12 students preferred
- Strong collaboration, consultation, and assessment skills
- Bilingual Spanish/English abilities are highly valued, especially for the itinerant position
- Flexibility to work onsite; remote or hybrid options are not included
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect psychological services to students across grade levels, addressing academic, behavioral, and mental health concerns
- Complete psychoeducational assessments, participate in multi-disciplinary teams, and help develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Consult with teachers, families, and administrators to support student success and well-being
- Serve as a resource for crisis intervention and prevention
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and state standards
