Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Enterprise Systems & ERP Transformation is the strategic leader and hands-on owner of TransTech’s ERP strategy, implementation, and enterprise systems operating model. This high-impact, highly visible role blends strategic leadership with direct execution and technical engagement across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Projects/Job Costing, and Reporting. This role is newly created to both transform our ERP roadmap and to provide succession planning for the Director of Information Technology role.

This individual is expected to be comfortable working directly within ERP environments—supporting configuration, troubleshooting, testing, integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives—while also strategically leading roadmap planning, governance, and cross-functional alignment. This role supports TransTech’s multi-wave ERP transformation and ensures ERP platforms scale with company growth, acquisitions, and operational complexity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

ERP Strategy & Governance:

  • Own the ERP roadmap, governance model, and prioritization of enhancements
  • Translate business strategy and operational needs into ERP capabilities and improvement initiatives
  • Define and enforce ERP configuration standards and usage governance across business units
  • Drive fit-to-standard adoption while managing required customization decisions
  • Ensure ERP solutions support data integrity, reporting consistency, and scalable growth

ERP Implementation & Hands-On Leadership:

  • Lead ERP selection efforts, requirements definition, blueprinting and implementation with partner and team oversight
  • Own scope, goals, success metrics, timelines, budgets, risks, and cross-functional dependencies
  • Actively participate in data migration, validation, system testing, cutover planning, and go-live readiness, for the initial roll out and future acquisitions
  • Remain hands-on with configuration, troubleshooting, system administration, and issue resolution
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, Projects, and Supply Chain leaders to design future-state processes
  • Drive change management, communications, training, and adoption across sites and functional teams

Post-Go-Live Operations & Continuous Improvement:

  • Own the ERP support model, issue resolution process, and enhancement backlog
  • Monitor system performance, stability, and adoption; implement corrective improvements as needed
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on measurable efficiency gains
  • Support rationalization and transition of legacy ERP environments and non-standard tools

Enterprise Integration & Scalability:

  • Support enterprise systems integration strategy across ERP, financial systems, and operational tools
  • Ensure ERP data governance, reporting standards, and integration controls are maintained
  • Conduct ERP due diligence for potential acquisitions and recommend integration approach
  • Lead ERP onboarding and integration planning for acquisitions

Leadership & Development:

  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships across IT and business leadership
  • Coach and mentor team members while developing internal ERP capability
  • Demonstrate a lifelong learner mindset—continuously expanding technical, operational, and leadership expertise
  • Stay current on ERP best practices, emerging technologies, and process innovation opportunities

Preferred

  • Experience in acquisitive, multi-site, or high-growth organizations
  • Experience with ERP upgrades, standardization initiatives, and system rationalization
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate technical concepts into business value

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7–12+ years of ERP experience, including several full-cycle ERP implementations
  • Strong manufacturing and/or services ERP background with cross-functional exposure
  • Experience managing ERP vendors and implementation partners
  • Demonstrated hands-on ERP configuration, troubleshooting, and operational support experience
  • Strong understanding of ERP data structures, integrations (APIs), and data quality practices
  • Proven project leadership, change management, and ERP adoption experience
  • Certifications such as PMP or equivalent (Preferred)

Work Environment

  • Hybrid and on-site work as required
  • 20-35% travel to company facilities for implementations and readiness activities
  • Availability for after-hours support during critical incidents or major project milestones
