Job Title: Project Manager (Software/Web)
Location: On-site / Hybrid | Elkhart, IN
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take full ownership of project management for our in-house web development team. You will work closely with our VP of Technology and report directly to our CDO. Your mission is to ensure that all web and software development projects are delivered efficiently, transparently, and with accountability across the team.
This is a hands-on, strategic role where your experience and perspective will shape how we manage and deliver our work. You will be the operational force behind our developers, enabling them to focus on building great products while you drive timelines, priorities, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
· Own and evolve the project management process for a team of 5-8 full-stack developers
· Define and maintain workflows, task management systems, and delivery schedules
· Interface with stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into actionable development tasks
· Monitor and report on team velocity, hours per developer, task distribution, and overall progress (other metrics TBD)
· Provide regular reporting to the CDO and VP of Tech, including data-driven insights and forecasts
· Identify and mitigate blockers, risks, and dependencies across concurrent projects
· Lead planning, status updates, and retrospectives if agile methodology is adopted
· Bring modern project management practices to improve efficiency and transparency
· Work directly with the VP of Tech to determine technological requirements, opportunities and roadblocks.
Qualifications:
· 2+ years of experience in project management for software or web development teams
· Proven ability to own and improve project management systems and processes
· Expertise with modern PM tools (we currently use Monday.com, but are flexible)
· Strong analytical and reporting skills; experience creating executive-level reporting dashboards
· Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid methodologies; ability to implement best practices
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; capable of interfacing with developers, executives and clients
· Experience with technical environments and/or programming background
Nice to Have:
· Familiarity with content-rich platforms, publishing, or news media workflows
· Experience working in small, cross-functional teams
· Actual web development experience
· Bilingual in English / Spanish
