Job DescriptionYour mission
Advance the manufacture of precision linear motion products by tightening processes, accelerating throughput, and safeguarding quality at PBC Linear. This is a mid-level (Level 2) role for an engineer who loves turning complex production challenges into scalable, documented solutions.
What you will accomplish
- Design, test, and deploy process changes that enhance efficiency and product quality for precision components.
- Own a multi-project slate, coordinating timelines, resources, and stakeholders to deliver on schedule.
- Troubleshoot line issues to minimize downtime and stabilize performance.
- Collaborate closely with design engineering, quality, and safety teams to align on manufacturability and compliance.
- Author and maintain clear, detailed work instructions and SOPs to standardize best practices.
Outcomes in your first 6–12 months
- Measurable cycle-time reduction and improved first-pass yield on selected product families.
- Robust documentation and training artifacts that support repeatable execution.
- Deployment of at least one data-driven continuous improvement initiative.
Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related discipline).
- 5+ years in production manufacturing—experience with linear motion or precision parts strongly preferred.
- Record of implementing innovative, continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong project management capability across competing priorities.
- Proficiency with CAD and manufacturing systems; Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Compensation details
Base pay range: 75,000 USD – 115,000 USD. This good-faith estimate spans multiple experience levels. Final compensation reflects the role’s scope and responsibilities, your background, location, education/training, and key skills.
