The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of residential and commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role requires working both independently and collaboratively with a small team, providing technical expertise while ensuring safety compliance and high-quality client service. The technician will occasionally respond to emergency or on-call service requests and is expected to travel regionally to job sites.
Responsibilities
- Install residential, commercial, and mixed-type HVAC systems
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of HVAC equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC system malfunctions and failures
- Conduct system testing to ensure efficiency and safety
- Consult with clients to assess needs and provide technical recommendations
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure regulatory compliance
- Document all work performed accurately and timely
- Provide emergency HVAC service as required on an occasional basis
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in HVAC technology
- Technical diploma in HVAC or related field
- EPA Section 608 Certification
- Experience with HVAC system installation and refrigeration
- Knowledge of electrical systems associated with HVAC
- Strong customer service and time management skills
- Familiarity with safety protocols in HVAC environments
