Bluebird Staffing is hiring two Civil Engineers in Chantilly, VA. One is a Land Development Engineer and the other is focused on stormwater.
Technical Design Opportunities\n

- Prepare construction documents for new and redevelopment projects, including maps, computations, narratives, construction details, and specifications
- Design all types of SWM facilities, including design on multi-phased development projects
- Conduct construction observations for all types of SWM facilities and other related construction administration
- Develop and execute stormwater operation and maintenance programs for entities owning large SWM assets

General Job Responsibilities

- Production of final construction documents
- Develop stormwater management concept plans
- Conduct construction and maintenance inspections
- Review construction administration
- Develop local and state permit applications
- Prepare technical reports
- Research regulatory codes, manuals, and standards
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Meet and coordinate with regulators to address comments and facilitate approval
- Communicate effectively with team members
- Manage clients and develop project schedules / workplans
- Perform other duties as required

Required Qualifications
\n
- \n
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or similar degree
- Advanced Autocad skills
- Strong mathematical/analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications
\n
- \n
- Engineer-in-training certification
- Professional Engineer license
- Proficiency with H & H modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HEC-1, HY-8, Flowmaster
- Proficiency with ArcMap, or similar
