Job Description

Job Description Are you the bridge between design and field execution?

Do you enjoy translating design packages into flawless on-the-ground outcomes for Security Computer Systems? Can you guide a multiplexer (MUX) cutover without breaking a sweat? If so, this role is for you.

What a win looks like

  • You apply the Standard Design Process (IP-ENG-001) to perform meticulous technical reviews of engineering change packages.
  • You process design changes end-to-end—covering cybersecurity documentation, drawings, vendor manuals, and calculations—with accuracy and speed.
  • You work side-by-side with installation crews to plan, stage, and execute system installations and cutovers, paying special attention to MUX transitions.
  • You collaborate in a service-oriented team, ensuring solutions meet customer specifications and schedule commitments.

Your toolkit

  • Degree/experience in electrical engineering.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Security Computer Systems.
  • Background in nuclear environments is a plus.

Regulatory readiness

  • Ability to qualify for Vistra’s Safeguards Information (SGI) handling per 10 CFR 73.21.
  • Qualification under 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix B QA Program to conduct the Owner’s Acceptance Review (OAR) per NOP-CC-2003.
  • Potential need to obtain 10 CFR 50.59 qualification for licensing activities depending on project scope (team support available).
  • Contractor badging will be issued for site access.

Why this role matters

Every drawing update, calculation check, and cutover plan contributes to safe, secure operations. Your rigor ensures that design intent becomes reality—compliantly and reliably—in a highly regulated nuclear setting.
