Position Summary:
The Leasing Consultant is responsible for delivering an exceptional leasing experience, providing outstanding customer service, and supporting the overall operations of the apartment community. This role focuses on touring prospects, securing leases, handling resident relations, and maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with Fair Housing guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Leasing & Sales
- Greet, qualify, and tour prospective residents, highlighting community features and available floor plans
- Follow up with all leads via phone, email, and CRM to maximize conversions
- Assist in lease applications, approvals, renewals, and move-in processes
- Maintain knowledge of current pricing, specials, availability, and market trends
Customer Service & Resident Relations
- Provide excellent service to current and prospective residents
- Resolve basic resident concerns or escalate as needed
- Support move-in/move-out procedures
Administrative & Compliance
- Process applications, verifications, and lease files accurately
- Ensure compliance with company policies and Fair Housing regulations
- Maintain organized records, reports, and resident files
- Assist with inspections, work orders, and community notices as needed
Marketing & Community Engagement
- Participate in outreach marketing, resident events, and social media initiatives
- Help maintain curb appeal of the leasing office, tour route, and amenities
Qualifications
- Prior multifamily leasing experience required
- Strong communication and sales skills
- Professional, friendly, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency (Yardi, OneSite, or similar CRM is a plus)
- Knowledge of Fair Housing laws
