Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to support daily operations by maintaining and repairing machinery, equipment, and facility systems. This role is critical to minimizing downtime and ensuring equipment reliability in a high-paced industrial or manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components including motors, gearboxes, belts, chains, pumps, and conveyors.

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all mechanical systems.

  • Perform fabrication tasks such as welding, grinding, and cutting as needed for repairs or modifications.

  • Assist with machine installations, relocations, and upgrades.

  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance work, repairs, and parts usage.

  • Work closely with other departments (production, electrical, automation) to support equipment performance.

  • Operate hand and power tools, hoists, lifts, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.

  • Adhere to company safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred.

  • 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery.

  • Ability to read mechanical blueprints, manuals, and diagrams.

  • Experience with basic welding, pipefitting, and fabrication is a plus.

  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in varying conditions (heat, noise, heights).

  • Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Food & beverage, plastics, automotive, or heavy manufacturing industry experience.

  • Experience using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).

  • Familiarity with electrical systems or PLC troubleshooting is a plus.
