Direct Counsel is assisting a leading global law firm in its search for a Corporate & Securities Income Partner to join its General Corporate practice in New York. This is a senior-level opportunity for a partner with significant experience advising on complex domestic and cross-border transactions, particularly within technology-driven and infrastructure-focused sectors.
Responsibilities

Advise clients on complex domestic and international transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and minority investments.

Represent private equity sponsors, family offices, and strategic investors in transactions across financial services, life sciences, media, telecommunications, and technology sectors.

Provide strategic counsel on transactions involving artificial intelligence (AI), supercomputing, data centers, and digital infrastructure.

Lead and coordinate multi-jurisdictional legal teams on cross-border matters.

Negotiate and draft sophisticated commercial agreements, including those involving advertising technology, data privacy, and intellectual property considerations.

Advise on tax structuring and cross-border transaction implications at both the transaction and fund levels.

Oversee and mentor associates and legal staff.

Drive business development initiatives and cultivate long-term client relationships.
Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) required.

Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience advising on cross-border M&A and technology-driven transactions.

Experience coordinating global legal teams on multi-jurisdictional matters.

At least 5 years of experience advising on:

Advertising technology agreements and related data privacy/IP matters.

Emerging companies, venture capital, and late-stage investments in tech and life sciences.

Tax structuring for private equity and alternative investment managers.

Active bar admission in New York or another U.S. jurisdiction.
Compensation
The expected compensation range for this position is $415,000 – $930,000, depending on experience, book of business, and overall qualifications.
