Minimum qualifications:

- High School diploma or equivalent

- 3+ years of commercial equipment repair experience – commercial kitchen equipment (hot)

- Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record (2 yrs) / driving up to 1.5 hours for a job

- Ability to be involved with the emergency on-call rotation that includes nights and weekends (every 8 days)

- Open and some flexibility to overtime when needed, due to customer demand

- Willingness to take a written assessment during the interview process

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull and reach above and below waist

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds up to 25 feet. Occasional lifting and carrying, with or without assistance, of items up to 70 pounds

- Ability to work in damp and/or humid conditions, coolers/freezers at freezing temperatures, moving mechanical parts, pressurized steam equipment, open flames, heated surfaces, liquids, and risk of electrical shock

- Ability to work on ladders, roofs and in rare cases, high, precarious places

Job Description:

Insight Global is assisting a client in identifying a skilled and customer-focused Commercial Appliance Mobile Technician to join a growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of commercial kitchen (hot) units and equipment such as ovens, fryers, grill, griddles, ranges, etc. You’ll play a key part in ensuring clients’ operations run smoothly by delivering high-quality service, building strong customer relationships, and promoting preventative maintenance solutions. This position offers the opportunity to grow your technical expertise through ongoing training and certifications while contributing to a collaborative and service-driven team environment. There will be a company vehicle provided and each day will be a dispatched to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform troubleshooting, repair, installations and preventative maintenance on commercial kitchen equipment (ovens, fryers, grill, griddles, ranges)

- Demonstrate effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Effectively manage time and resources to control costs, enhance efficiencies, and meet commitments

- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers

- Build strong customer relationships and build knowledge and understanding of new and existing customer needs/expectations

- Promote appropriate services, products, and maintenance programs
