Warehouse Cable Technician – Temp-to-Hire
Pay: $16/hour starting
Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours/week) – Shift details provided during interview
Start Date: Hiring ASAP (Contracts expected finalized by 2/23)
Assignment Type: 6-Month Guaranteed Contract (Strong Potential for Permanent Hire)
Join our team as and help create safe, efficient, and well-organized workstations in active warehouse environments.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for organizing, securing, and managing workstation cables (including USB, video (HDMI/DisplayPort), and power cords) to improve safety, reduce clutter, and support a productive workspace.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed, methodical work and takes pride in creating orderly, user-friendly setups in fast-paced environments.
Based on performance this is a 6-month guaranteed contract assignment with a high likelihood of permanent placement and opportunities to support additional warehouse locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and secure workstation cables
- Bundle, route, and fasten cables using Velcro, sheathing, and cable-management materials
- Respond to daily maintenance tickets regarding loose or disorganized cables
- Locate and service designated workstations throughout the warehouse
- Ensure cables are safely positioned to prevent tripping hazards, strain, or equipment interference
- Use basic hand tools to tidy and secure cables under desks and equipment areas
- Identify and correct tangled cords, unsafe routing, or obstructed workspaces
- Maintain clear documentation of completed work and workstation notes
- Communicate professionally with onsite staff to support workflow and ergonomic needs
- Maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment
Requirements
- Experience in field service, facilities support, IT support, or workstation/equipment setup
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to clean, organized cable routing
- Ability to use basic hand tools
- Understanding of common workstation connections
- Ability to work independently across multiple workstations
- Professional, respectful workplace conduct
- Ability to work in tight spaces (under desks, workstation areas)
- Physically able to bend, kneel, and move efficiently throughout shift
- Reliable transportation required
- Active phone number required
- Must pass background check (BSI)
- Must pass required personality assessment prior to badge issuance
