Job Type: Part-Time( possible full time)
Pay: $100/hour
Schedule: 2 days per week | 2-hour sessions
About the Opportunity
Hustle & Heart Sports Performance is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and energetic Personal Trainer to lead 1-on-1 and group training sessions for youth with special needs. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a supportive, high-quality training environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead customized workout plans tailored to the needs of children with varying abilities
- Conduct engaging 1-on-1 and group training sessions that are safe, inclusive, and fun
- Adapt exercises and instruction to accommodate physical, cognitive, and emotional needs
- Provide a positive and encouraging experience for all participants
- Communicate effectively with staff and parents/guardians
- Maintain a professional and supportive training environment at all times
Qualifications
- Certification as a Personal Trainer through a recognized organization (e.g., NASM, ACE, ISSA, ACSM, NSCA)
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification (required or willingness to obtain before start date)
- Prior experience working with children and/or individuals with special needs is highly preferred
- Preferred specialized certifications (not required but a plus):
- NASM Certified Special Population Specialist (CES or PES)
- ACSM Certified Inclusive Fitness Trainer (CIFT)
- ACE Special Population Specialist
- StrongEducation Adaptive Special Needs Certification
- Ability to adapt fitness plans for various physical and cognitive abilities
- Excellent communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
- A genuine passion for working with youth in an inclusive environment
- Experience with special needs youth is a plus, but not required (were open to candidates willing to learn)
