Citizens Electric Corporation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst Intern to join our Power Supply & Markets team for the summer. This internship offers meaningful, rsumbuilding experience that directly supports our organizational needs and strategic initiatives.

About the Internship

This internship is ideal for a student interested in data analysis, energy markets, forecasting, or utility operations. The intern will support daily market activities, seasonal outlooks, and research projects that contribute to future decision-making and hedging strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide an overview of previous-day energy market activity, including performance updates and insights.
• Prepare daily data and reporting to support day-ahead market activities.
• Conduct near-term and seasonal market analysis that will inform future hedging recommendations.
• Research market and regulatory changes, summarizing potential impacts to the organization.
• Contribute to additional analytical projects as assigned.

What Were Looking For

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data clearly.
• Proficiency with Excel and comfort working with datasets.
• Curiosity about energy markets and a willingness to learn.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
