Position Overview:
The Senior Electrical Project Manager (SPM) leads electrical and the design-build delivery, from concept to closeout, ensuring technical quality, client satisfaction, and profitability. This role manages project teams, oversees key strategic accounts, and supports coordination across low- and high-voltage systems. The SPM also supervises the Electrical Designer and enhances design standards through BIM integration while upholding Horwitzs core values: Safe, Accountable, Professional, Motivated, Can Do, and Curious.
Key Responsibilities:
These responsibilities generally describe the nature of the position and may not be all inclusive:
Estimate, sell, and manage electrical, including design-build delivery.
Lead design-build project execution by developing preliminary concepts, guiding detailed design, and coordinating client and stakeholder input throughout all phases.
Build strong client relationships and pursue new customer opportunities.
Maintain ongoing customer engagement and project activity within Horwitzs CRM platform.
Make regular contact with general contractors and direct-to-owner clients to secure work.
Lead project planning, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination.
Support Construction/Service Divisions with low and high voltage project needs.
Supervise the Electrical Designer; develop BIM workflows and design quality standards.
Create preliminary design layouts for budgeting (via Bluebeam and redlining).
Oversee detailed design for awarded design-build projects.
Ensure safety, code compliance, and customer satisfaction on all projects.
Communicate project health, risk, and opportunities to leadership

Skills and Abilities:
Strong leadership, project management, and client engagement capabilities.
Ability to develop, maintain, and execute budgets and forecasts.
Effective communicator across multidisciplinary teams and field staff.
Proficient with design tools such as Revit, Bluebeam, and industry-standard estimating platforms.
Familiarity with BIM coordination and electrical construction documentation standards. Include licenses/credentials, if applicable
Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Construction Management, or related field preferred.
Minimum 710 years of experience managing electrical construction projects.
Proven success in estimating and delivering commercial and design-build projects.
Experience supervising designers and managing design-build workflows.
