Job Description

The clean up crew member supports safe and efficient operations on construction and industrial sites by handling waste disposal, general cleanup, and basic labor tasks. This role works across multiple locations, including large manufacturing and construction sites, and requires comfort with wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), such as full body suits and respirators when site conditions require it.

Responsibilities

  • Dispose of waste materials safely and in accordance with site procedures and environmental guidelines.
  • Perform general cleanup duties on construction and industrial sites, including sweeping, trash removal, and debris clean up.
  • Support construction and manufacturing activities through general labor tasks as directed by site supervisors.
  • Use basic hand tools to complete assigned tasks related to cleanup and site maintenance.
  • Work in confined or tight spaces when required, following all safety protocols.
  • Handle chemicals in accordance with training, safety standards, and HAZWOPER guidelines.
  • Wear appropriate PPE, including full body suit and respirator, when required at specific sites.
  • Follow all safety procedures and participate in required safety and HAZWOPER training.
  • Adapt to varying site conditions, including outdoor work and high temperatures, while maintaining safety and productivity.
  • Work extended shifts, including 8–12 hour days and occasional Saturdays, to support project and site needs.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in general labor or construction labor roles.
  • Experience in janitorial, cleaning, or other labor-intensive work environments.
  • Comfort working in a manufacturing environment (training provided).
  • Ability and willingness to wear a respirator when required.
  • Ability and willingness to wear a full body protective suit (bunny suit) when required.
  • Comfort working in tight or confined spaces.
  • Ability to work 10+ hour days when needed.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, carrying, sweeping, and extended periods of standing and walking.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Willingness to complete 40-hour HAZWOPER training (training provided and required).
  • Basic familiarity with hand tools used on construction and industrial sites.
  • Experience with confined space work or chemical handling is beneficial.
  • Reliability in early-morning start times and variable shift lengths.
  • Openness to working on various construction and industrial sites, including large manufacturing facilities.

Work Environment

This role is based on various construction and industrial sites, including large manufacturing facilities, where conditions can be physically demanding and may involve working outdoors in high temperatures, especially during the summer. Team members regularly perform hands-on tasks such as sweeping, trash removal, and general cleanup in active work zones. The position requires frequent use of PPE, and at some sites employees must wear a full body protective suit and respirator, while other sites may not require this level of protection. Work often occurs in tight or confined spaces, following strict safety protocols. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, with early morning start times between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., and shifts generally ranging from 8 to 12 hours per day; some Saturdays may be required to meet project demands. Dress and equipment are safety-focused, with PPE provided and required as appropriate to each site.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chandler, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
