Nextran is looking for a Diesel Technician who takes pride in quality repairs, strong diagnostics, and getting the job done right. If you enjoy solving mechanical challenges and keeping commercial trucks road-ready, this is a great place to put your skills to work.
We’re growing our Quincy, IL team and looking for technicians who are ready to jump in and make an impact.
What You’ll Do
You’ll work on a variety of medium- and heavy-duty trucks, including:
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues
- Performing preventative maintenance and DOT inspections
- Completing repairs from routine service to major overhauls
- Disassembling, repairing, and reassembling components accurately
- Documenting work clearly in service records
- Using basic computer systems for diagnostics and tracking
- Supporting overall shop operations as needed
- Other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on diesel or commercial truck experience
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High School Diploma or GED required (technical training a plus)
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (CDL preferred)
- 4+ years of experience preferred
- Basic computer skills
