Senior Systems Programmer - Mainframe Support (Full-Time, Exempt)
Onsite: :League City South Houston TX
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM + On-Call Rotation

Key Responsibilities
- Lead mainframe storage administration including SMS, HSM, DS8000, TS7700, tape systems, allocation, DR, and backup/recovery
- Manage tickets, incidents, and escalations in ServiceNow
- Perform upgrades, installations, and tuning for Z/OS and third-party mainframe tools
- Troubleshoot performance issues and conduct root cause analysis in large-scale environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams-application programmers, infrastructure engineers, platform architects, and operations
- Support critical workloads in a high-uptime, enterprise environment
Required Experience & Technical Skills
- Proven experience as a Mainframe Systems Programmer or Senior Z/OS Programmer
- Strong background in mainframe storage administration, including SMS/HSM
- Expertise with DS8000, TS7700, and enterprise-class storage systems
- Hands-on experience with FDR, tape services, backup and recovery solutions
- Ability to support on-call rotation in a 24/7 production environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex escalations
