Engineering Technician
Job Description
Badger Talent Solutions is proud to partner with one of its top clients to find an Engineering Technician for a full-time, on-site role at their Franklin, WI facility. This is a hands-on opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting high-impact equipment, automation systems, and continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented technician with a strong mechanical and electrical background who thrives on ownership, proactive problem-solving, and technical variety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on production machinery, facility systems, and automation equipment
- Support the design and installation of new equipment, tooling, and robotics
- Identify and implement improvements that reduce downtime and increase efficiency
- Maintain and update the CMMS system to ensure compliance and visibility across teams
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to support repairs and upgrades
- Serve as an active member of the safety team, focusing on equipment and process safety
- Apply Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles to optimize workflows and environments
- Coordinate with outside vendors for repairs and equipment installations
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a maintenance or equipment technician role within a manufacturing or automation environment
- Technical certification, trade school, or associate degree preferred
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Familiarity with maintenance tracking systems and general computer proficiency
- Experience working in a regulated environment (GMP, FDA, ISO) is a plus
