Engineer, Tailings Management Facilities
Location: Minnesota
We're seeking a skilled Tailings Facility Engineer Manager to lead governance, compliance, and strategic planning for two major tailings facilities. This role is critical to ensuring safe, sustainable, and compliant operations, with responsibilities spanning engineering oversight, environmental coordination, and emergency preparedness.
As the Tailings Facility Engineer Manager (RTFE), you’ll:

Develop and implement a robust Tailings Management System

Coordinate with internal teams and external Engineers of Record

Oversee inspections, surveillance, permitting, and risk management

Lead closure planning and progressive reclamation strategies

Manage one direct report and drive budget planning

Support regulatory and community engagement
Qualifications:
- 10 years work experience working in a mining operation

Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and risk mitigation

Leadership, project coordination, and stakeholder management skills

Bachelor’s in Engineering (advanced degree preferred)
