Job Title: Legal Executive Assistant

Location (city, state): Washington, DC (hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 remote)

Assignment Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time

Pay: $80,000 – $92,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Additional Details: 35-hour workweek | Overtime eligible with approval | Business professional dress code

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, PTO package, vacation/sick time, and 401(k).

Job Description:

We are seeking a Legal Executive Assistant to support senior-level attorneys in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This role serves as the attorney’s right hand—balancing complex calendars, managing communications, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level administrative support to attorneys, including calendar and inbox management.
  • Coordinate travel logistics and prepare detailed itineraries.
  • Assist with billing processes, expense reporting, and time entry reconciliation.
  • Prepare, proofread, and edit correspondence, presentations, and legal documentation.
  • Maintain confidential files and ensure records are accurate and organized.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal and external clients with a professional, service-oriented approach.
  • Anticipate attorney needs and proactively manage priorities across multiple projects.

Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of experience in legal executive administrative support, supporting 3+ executives simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) - Must be able to pass Excel and Word Assessments
  • Familiarity with billing and expense systems preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Professional, proactive, and collaborative work style.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
