Overview
The Parking Manager is responsible for leading and executing one of the highest-impact operations on-site. Parking is the first guest interaction and sets the tone for the entire experience.
This role manages a team of 10 to 30 staff members and is responsible for creating a safe, efficient, and high-volume parking system that can handle thousands of guests per night.
This is a fast-paced, high-pressure role that requires strong leadership, quick decision-making, and the ability to stay composed under stress.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Staffing
- Hire, train, and manage a team of 10 to 30 parking staff
- Build schedules based on projected attendance and peak nights
- Lead pre-shift meetings and set expectations for performance and safety
- Hold staff accountable for attendance, performance, and professionalism
- Manage call-outs, no-shows, and last-minute staffing adjustments
Parking Operations
- Oversee all parking lot operations during event hours
- Direct traffic flow and ensure efficient vehicle movement in and out of the property
- Monitor and adjust parking strategies in real time based on volume and conditions
- Coordinate with operations teams to maintain flow across the property
- Act as the point person for any parking-related guest issues or escalations
Lot Setup & Infrastructure
- Design and execute parking layouts to maximize capacity and efficiency with operations executive team
- Paint parking lines using field striping robot
- Set up and maintain cones, signage, and directional systems
- Continuously evaluate and improve layout and traffic patterns throughout the season
- Ensure all parking areas are safe, clearly marked, and functional in all conditions
Equipment & Grounds
- Operate utility vehicles such as John Deere Gators and similar equipment
- Manage parking equipment including cones, signage, lighting, and radios
- Assist with basic grounds maintenance related to parking areas like garbage cleanup.
- Troubleshoot issues such as mud, weather impacts, and visibility challenges

Qualifications
- Previous leadership or management experience required
- Experience in parking operations, traffic control, or large-scale events strongly preferred
- Comfortable operating utility vehicles and basic equipment
- Strong communication and team management skills
- Ability to work nights and weekends throughout the season
Schedule
- Seasonal position: August through early November
- Hours increase significantly during peak season (late September through October)
- Nights and weekends required
