About the role

DAS Office of Information Technology (OIT) is seeking a Business Analyst 4 (BA4) who can operate as a Senior Business Analyst and Scrum Master.

You will gather requirements, own the product backlog, coach the team on Agile, lead UAT, and develop/automate test cases. This is a senior role for someone who can connect business goals to developer work and prove that delivered code matches the business rules.

What you will do

  • Gather requirements, map workflows, write user stories, and groom the product backlog
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Coach the team on Agile rules and keep work aligned to business goals
  • Document business needs, system specifications, and clear acceptance criteria
  • Create template documents for business processes
  • Design test scripts, use cases, and traceability matrices that link code behavior to business rules
  • Develop, document, and automate test cases
  • Execute quality assurance and performance testing
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including functional and regression testing
  • Log defects and track them to closure
  • Connect end users and developers to resolve ambiguities and confirm alignment

Required qualifications

  • 10+ years relevant IT experience
  • 10+ years in a Scrum Master role
  • Experience creating template documents for business processes
  • Experience creating requirements, use cases, and user stories
  • Experience developing, documenting, and automating test cases
  • Experience executing QA and performance testing
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work with business users, developers, and project stakeholders

Preferred

  • State of Ohio or large public-sector IT program experience
  • Azure DevOps or similar ALM tools
  • UAT lead experience on enterprise applications
