Job DescriptionAbout the Role:Hope for Kids Childcare Center in Duluth, MN is looking for a passionate and nurturing Assistant Teacher to join our dedicated team! Responsibilities:

  • Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans
  • Supervise and engage children in a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom and play areas
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's daily progress
  • Help manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques
  • Assist with meals, snacks, rest time, and daily routines

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • Prior experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting is a plus
  • Genuine passion for child development and early childhood education
  • Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to pass a background check as required by state childcare regulations
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Reliable, punctual, and a collaborative team player
