Job Overview:
AFC Urgent Care Narberth is seeking a highly organized and compassionate individual to join our team as a Front Desk/Medical Assistant (MA). This dual-role position requires the ability to manage both administrative and clinical tasks in a fast-paced urgent care environment. Key Responsibilities:
As a Front Desk Specialist, you will be responsible for both front office duties and clinical assistance, including but not limited to:
Front Desk Duties:
- Greet patients warmly and ensure a welcoming environment
- Handle patient registration, check-in, and check-out processes
- Verify insurance information and process payments for co-pays and services
- Answer and manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and provide general information about services
- Maintain patient records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in urgent care, is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality protocols
- Proficient in using EMR systems and basic office software
- Ability to handle front desk responsibilities while providing hands-on clinical support
