Job Description
Job DescriptionTHIS IS NOT A NORMAL FRONT DESK JOB.
If you’re looking for a job where you sit behind a desk, check people in, and watch the clock…
This probably isn’t for you.
But if you love people, have some hustle, want the opportunity to make more when you perform, and want to grow alongside a company that’s building something bigger — keep reading.
At BASECK Training, we call this position our Member Experience Specialist because you’re much more than the person at the front desk.
You’re the first person a prospective member talks to.
You’re the face they see when they walk through the door.
You’re the person who remembers their name.
You’re the one helping turn someone’s interest in getting healthier into actually taking action.
And when you help BASECK grow, we want you to benefit from that growth too.
THE MORE WE WIN, THE MORE YOU CAN EARN.
Your hourly rate is just the starting point.
We believe great team members should have opportunities to earn more based on the value they help create.
That’s why you’ll have opportunities to earn commission and incentives through:
- New memberships
- Membership upgrades
- Supplements and products
- Apparel
- Studio performance and growth opportunities
We don’t want to put a ceiling on motivated people.
We’ll give you training, scripts, systems, coaching, and support to help you become successful.
If you’ve never considered yourself “a salesperson,” that’s okay.
We’re not looking for someone who pressures people.
We’re looking for someone who can connect with people, understand what they need, and confidently help them take the next step.
JOIN A COMPANY THAT’S GROWING
BASECK isn’t looking for someone to simply fill a shift.
We’re looking for people who want to grow with us.
We’re a Lifestyle Performance Studio built around 30-minute full-body workouts, personal accountability, and a community where improving your own health can also positively impact someone else.
Every workout our members complete generates points that contribute toward donations to one of six charity partners.
As BASECK continues to grow, we want our people growing with it.
You’ll receive development and hands-on experience in:
Sales. Marketing. Leadership. Hospitality. Operations. Community Building.
Want to earn more?
Want to develop into leadership?
Show us what you’re capable of, and we’ll be in your corner helping you get there.
WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY DO
No two shifts at BASECK look exactly the same.
One minute you might be welcoming a member by name.
The next you’re texting a new lead.
Then you’re giving someone their first studio tour.
Later, you’re helping a member upgrade their program, creating a social post, helping with an event, or celebrating someone’s latest win.
Create an Incredible Member Experience
- Welcome members and guests with energy and genuine hospitality
- Learn our members’ names, goals, and stories
- Handle check-ins, scheduling, and member questions
- Give studio tours to prospective members
- Help new members feel comfortable from their first interaction
- Keep the front desk and member areas clean, organized, and welcoming
- Communicate member needs and feedback with coaches and leadership
Help Grow the Studio
You’ll play a direct role in bringing new people into the BASECK community.
- Respond quickly to new leads
- Answer incoming calls, texts, social inquiries, and website leads
- Follow up with people interested in trying BASECK
- Book studio tours and first sessions
- Give prospective members an amazing tour experience
- Understand someone’s goals and recommend the right membership
- Follow up with prospects who aren’t ready yet
- Sell memberships, upgrades, supplements, apparel, and products
And yes — when your efforts generate revenue, there are opportunities for you to earn more too.
Help Build the Community
BASECK is bigger than four walls.
You’ll also have opportunities to:
- Help with local events and partnerships
- Engage with our community through social media
- Support organic lead generation
- Assist with studio content
- Celebrate member wins
- Participate in BASECK’s social channels
- Help create the energy and culture people associate with our brand
YOU MIGHT LOVE THIS JOB IF…
You’re naturally outgoing and actually enjoy talking to people.
You’d rather have a busy shift than stare at the clock.
You’re competitive and like having goals to chase.
You enjoy earning commission and being rewarded for performance.
You’re comfortable picking up the phone instead of hiding behind text messages.
You notice when something is out of place and fix it without being asked.
You can make someone feel welcome within 30 seconds of meeting them.
You’re comfortable hearing “no” and following up anyway.
You like social media and aren’t afraid to engage with the community.
And most importantly…
You want your next job to have somewhere to go.
WE’RE IN YOUR CORNER
We don’t expect you to walk in knowing everything.
We’ll train you.
We’ll coach you.
We’ll give you systems to follow.
We’ll help you improve your sales skills.
We’ll teach you more about marketing, hospitality, leadership, and running a successful studio.
And we’ll give you clear expectations so you know exactly what winning looks like.
Your job is to bring the effort, energy, coachability, and desire to improve.
We’ll meet you there.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
We believe people perform better when expectations are clear.
Some of the goals you’ll work toward include:
- Consistently generating tours, memberships, upgrades, and product sales
- Building genuine relationships with members
- Creating an environment people look forward to walking into
When the studio grows because of the work you’re doing, we want you to feel that success too.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 1+ year of customer service, hospitality, administrative, or sales experience preferred
- Gym or fitness industry experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication skills in person, over the phone, and through text
- Confidence talking to new people
- Comfort learning sales conversations and working toward performance goals
- Basic comfort with POS, CRM, scheduling, and computer systems
- Ability to multitask in a fast-moving environment
- A positive, competitive, team-first attitude
- Availability for day and night shifts, including weekends
Personality, work ethic, and coachability matter a lot to us.
COMPENSATION
$18–$25/hour + Commission & Incentive Opportunities
Your hourly pay isn’t where your earning opportunity has to stop.
Through memberships, upgrades, products, supplements, apparel, and other performance opportunities, the more value you help create for the studio, the more opportunities you’ll have to earn.
Additional benefits include:
- Paid time off
- Employee discounts
- Flexible day and evening scheduling
- Sales, marketing, and leadership training
- Opportunities to be featured on BASECK social media
- Career advancement opportunities as BASECK grows
