Position Overview
We are seeking an Attorney with 5+ years of litigation experience to join our growing vaccine injury compensation practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in motion practice, discovery, and client advocacy, empathy, and a desire to handle meaningful work that blends legal skill with public service. A qualified candidate will be experienced in working directly with clients and able to explain complex information, whether medical or otherwise, in a way that clients can understand. Experience in administrative law or medical-related litigation, and in working with medical experts, is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Represent petitioners in claims filed under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP).
- Manage a docket of up to one hundred active cases from intake through resolution, including handling client communications, drafting petitions, filing medical records, drafting briefs, and handling settlement negotiations.
- Conduct factual and legal research, including medical record review and analysis of expert opinions.
- Appear before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and work collaboratively with opposing counsel and special masters.
- Maintain strong client relationships built on empathy, responsiveness, and professionalism.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction.
- 5+ years of litigation experience (federal practice preferred).
- Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Compassionate approach to working with clients who have experienced medical hardship.
