Job Description
- Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and perform maintenance on customer aircraft.
- Fabricate and/or modify structural components on aircraft parts.
- Perform minor structural repairs on composite components, whether attached or detached.
- Assist with hidden damage inspections of aircraft structures.
- Support complex structural repairs, on or off the aircraft.
- Help with aircraft component repairs.
- Remove and install aircraft components as required.
- Follow all environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in 5-S activities to maintain workplace organization and efficiency.
- Perform work in a safe and timely manner.
- Document all work performed according to applicable manuals and regulations.
- Operate ground support equipment when required.
- Assist with mechanical and electrical removals and installations as needed.
- Support maintenance at off-site locations when required.
- Assist with towing aircraft as needed.
- Provide support to other maintenance disciplines when needed.
- Follow Bombardier General Work Requirements for factory, shop, and/or hangar roles.
Qualifications
- You have completed training at a sheet metal aircraft technical school or have equivalent schooling.
- You typically have at least 4 years of experience in Corporate aircraft structural sheet metal repair and modification.
- You can interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.
- You are able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, regarding individual or aircraft status.
- You own a basic set of hand tools and can demonstrate proper tool inventory and control.
- You are able to obtain necessary Ground Support Equipment (GSE) qualifications as required.
- You are available to work unscheduled overtime, including non-scheduled workdays and holidays.
- You are able to work outdoors in seasonal or inclement weather.
- You can obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge, if applicable.
- You hold an A Certification, A&P Certificate, or Repairman Certificate (preferred).
- You have basic PC skills.
