RESIDENTIAL MANAGER

As Residential Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day management of Louise’s Promise Residential Homes. Duties assigned including but not limited to, the overall health, safety, development and supervision of staff and residents. The Staff Supervisor is to create and maintain relationships with individuals served involving the development and/or implementation of the individual service plan using creative and thoughtful techniques developed through the Lifestyle Support Plan. The Staff Supervisor is responsible with the team to ensure that the requirements of the plan are met and maintained. The manager works independently supervising all functions of the residential homes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising staff and clients to promote their physical, social, and psychological well-being which may include scheduling and assisting individuals to medical appointments.
  • Responsible for household shopping and ensuring that all dietary needs are considered according to each individual plan.
  • Participate in meetings both annually and as needed regarding individuals’ plans/needs.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to include, but not limited to case managers, guardians, behavior analysts, psychologists, therapists and natural supports (family and friends) to ensure overall health, safety and welfare of the individuals we support.
  • Ensuring that staff completes all required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Supervising staff interactions with individuals and supporting staff to promote the rights of the individuals to achieve enhanced quality of life.
  • Maintaining a work environment that supports dignity and fair treatment of staff.
  • Promoting the individuality of clients, we support by ensuring that common living areas and bedrooms are individualized to reflect the personality of the person(s) living there.
  • Responding to emergencies.
  • Required to be ON CALL

Specific Qualifications for The Role Include

  • High school diploma/GED and equivalent job experience of 1 years
  • Two years of supervisory experience, required in providing services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or other related disorders, preferred
  • Working knowledge of Alabama Department of Mental Health Standards concerning Rights to individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Medication Administration Certification (MAC), preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours and cover direct care shifts as necessary
  • Previous experience in scheduling
  • Must pass background check and drug test
  • Be able to be flexible if a shift is needed for coverage in the homes
  • Be able to multitask and quick thinking
