Job Summary:

Coates Field Service, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Manager of Information Technology to manage the daily operations of the Information Technology department. Reporting directly to the VP of IT, this position will be responsible for managing the network, hardware support, application administration, desktop, GIS, and helpdesk functions.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provides direct support to the VP of IT for any information technology or GIS department needs.
• Manage, support, coach, and provide feedback on the performance of IT team members to ensure department success.
• Various oversight and overflow management responsibilities including: database setup and management, network security and VPN management, IT software/hardware management, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), etc.
• Assists VP of IT with the development and implementation of business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
• Manage technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems), and the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff within the organization.
• Identify and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations. Analyze the costs, value, and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions.
• Manage and organize IT-related projects.
• Coordinate and administer cybersecurity training for employees.
• Assist in the review process of client cybersecurity documentation and ensure compliance.
• Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain competitive advantage.
• Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency. Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to the VP of IT.
• Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts.
• Assists VP of IT with necessary IT/Cybersecurity RFP and MSA processes.
• Perform other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field required.
• Professional experience in a management-level IT role.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of Azure and SQL server.
• Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation.
• Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting, and business operations.
• Proven experience in an IT management level or similar role.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
• Working knowledge of ArcGIS server.
