Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm

Job SummaryPlastics Manufacturing Company in Berea, OH is seeking an experienced Mold Setup Technician to join its production team.This position is responsible for preparing production equipment for successful manufacturing runs, including setting molds, pulling molds, starting production, and troubleshooting equipment and process issues. The ideal candidate will have previous hands-on experience with mold setup in a manufacturing environment and be comfortable working independently to keep production running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities

• Set and install molds according to production schedules and work orders
• Remove and pull molds after production runs or during changeovers
• Perform mold and machine changeovers efficiently
• Prepare equipment and tooling for production
• Start machines and verify proper operation before releasing them for production
• Make necessary adjustments to achieve acceptable production and quality standards
• Troubleshoot mold, machine, and process-related issues
• Identify problems and make appropriate corrections to minimize downtime
• Verify proper setup, alignment, connections, and operating parameters
• Work closely with machine operators, production supervisors, maintenance, and quality personnel
• Follow established safety procedures and company work instructions
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with other production-related responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

• Previous mold setup experience required
• Manufacturing or plastics production experience strongly preferred
• Experience installing and removing production molds
• Ability to perform machine startups and basic process adjustments
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to troubleshoot production and equipment issues
• Comfortable using hand tools and production equipment
• Ability to read and follow work orders, setup instructions, and production specifications
• Strong attention to detail
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team

CompensationStarting Pay: $20.00/hourHigher consideration may be given to candidates with strong mold setup, processing, troubleshooting, or related manufacturing experience.
