POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for maintaining, overseeing, and advancing the Manufacturing’s Quality Management System to ensure compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement across the organization. Reporting directly to the President, this role collaborates closely with all departments to safeguard product quality, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. The Manager leads the QA team, manages audits and corrective actions, and ensures quality processes are effectively integrated into daily operations. This role is expected to demonstrate strong leadership, structured accountability, and the ability to execute company direction while supporting Pequot’s commitment to Quality, Service, and Profit (QSP).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s)

· Oversee, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) and associated processes.

· Coordinate, schedule, and oversee internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO and customer requirements.

· Lead the NCMR, PAR, CAR, and RMA processes to ensure timely resolution and prevention of quality issues.

· Direct and develop QA staff, providing training, coaching, and performance evaluation. Recommend and implement personnel actions including assignments, promotions, and discipline when necessary.

· Execute quality-related purchasing functions, including supplier evaluation and certification.

· Participate in Order Review alongside Sales to ensure feasibility, compliance, and alignment with company standards.

· Standardize regulatory compliance procedures and provide training on compliance practices.

· Monitor and report on key quality metrics to management, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.

· Support cross-functional initiatives and serve in additional capacities as directed by the President.

· The Quality Assurance Manager will from time-to-time work on other special projects as may be assigned by the President, Owners or Board of Directors.

Education

Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or university) or work experience deemed to be equivalent.

Experience

A minimum of five years of work experience in Quality Assurance or closely related field, preferably within a manufacturing job shop environment.
