Cabot’s first American property, Cabot Citrus Farms, is set across 1,200 acres of pristine natural beauty in the Central-West region of Florida, aptly known as the Nature Coast. Offering dramatic elevation changes, sandy soil, and rolling hills canopied by towering sand pines, palmetto trees, and century-old moss-covered oaks, the unique landscape is enchanting. With two 18-hole golf courses, one 10-hole course, an 11-hole par-3 course, and an unparalleled practice facility, Cabot Citrus Farms is the ultimate golf adventure. Position Overview
Cabot Citrus Farms is seeking a friendly, attentive, and detail-oriented Security professional for our Welcome Center. This role involves greeting and assisting guests, providing a welcoming experience, and maintaining a secure environment. The Security Officer at the Welcome Center serves as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring that all arrivals are greeted warmly and provided with helpful information about the Cabot Citrus Farms. The position also includes monitoring access, conducting security checks, and coordinating with the Cabot Citrus Farms's security team.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet all incoming guests, members, and vendors at the Welcome Center.
- Provide guests with directions, Cabot Citrus Farms information, and assistance with any inquiries.
- Ensure a welcoming, professional atmosphere in the Welcome Center at all times.
- Verify guests' identities, bookings, and reservations before granting access to Cabot Citrus Farms amenities.
- Maintain control of access points, allowing only authorized individuals to enter.
- Manage lost and found items in accordance with resort policy.
- Ensure high-value items are reported and securely stored, and assist guests in reclaiming their property following security procedures.
- Conduct visual security checks of individuals entering and exiting the Welcome Center.
- Monitor the Welcome Center area for any suspicious activity or potential safety hazards.
- Coordinate with other security team members to respond to any incidents, emergencies, or security concerns promptly.
- Document all incidents, visitor entries, and other relevant information in detailed daily logs.
- Prepare incident reports for security issues, policy violations, or emergencies that arise.
- Communicate efficiently with other Cabot Citrus Farms security officers, front desk personnel, and management.
- Participate in regular security meetings and training sessions to stay informed about safety policies and procedures.
- Provide exemplary customer service, assisting guests with a positive, friendly, and courteous demeanor.
- Address guest concerns professionally and assist in resolving minor conflicts or issues.
- Maintain knowledge of the Cabot Citrus Farms’s facilities, events, and services to provide accurate information to guests.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in security, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a busy environment.
- Basic knowledge of security procedures and safety protocols is a plus.
- Physical ability to patrol on foot, sometimes for extended periods, and to respond quickly to incidents.
- Florida Class D certification preferred.
Work Conditions
- Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments and various weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on Cabot Citrus Farms operations.
