Your Role as an Urgent Care Physician:
As a vital member of our team, you will:
- Diagnose and treat a wide variety of acute illnesses and injuries in an urgent care setting.
- Perform minor procedures, such as suturing, splinting, and abscess drainage.
- Provide efficient, high-quality medical care with a focus on patient satisfaction.
- Work autonomously while collaborating with APPs and support staff.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) efficiently for documentation and patient care.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Active and unrestricted MD or DO license in Alabama.
- Board Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or a related specialty.
- Experience: Urgent care or emergency medicine experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical judgment, leadership, and the ability to work independently.
- DOT Certification: Preferred, but we offer support to obtain it within the first 6 weeks.
Schedule & Work Environment:
- Rotating Shifts: Three 11-hour shifts one week, four 11-hour shifts the next.
- Weekend Rotations: Work every other weekend to maintain work-life balance.
- Clinic Hours: Monday - Saturday (8 AM - 7 PM), Sunday (9 AM - 5 PM). Closed Thanksgiving & Christmas.
