JOB SUMMARY

The mission of Cybertrol’s Manufacturing Intelligence Group (MI) is to provide business systems and people with production information for improved decision-making and to handle the flow of data between business systems and production environments. In this role you will be responsible for several different tasks to accomplish MI’s mission including configuration of off-the-shelf software, data collection and integration, configuring workflow products, building web-based UI applications, and deploying report and analytics solutions. You will be working with cross-functional teams including Automation Engineering and OT Systems engineers within Cybertrol, and directly with our customers to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Traveling up to 15% may be required to support project lifecycle, training, or other professional related travel. A valid driver’s license is required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Installing, upgrading, and configuring manufacturing intelligence software
  • Testing and validation of code
  • Working directly with customers to help design solutions to their problems
  • Communicating effectively with project team members for status, deliverables, and technical needs
  • Data analytics and report development
  • Creating system documentation for both internal and external audiences
  • Providing customer support and communications
  • Site commissioning start-ups
  • Staying current with relevant technologies
  • Complying with and contributing to the advancement of the Information Systems (IS) Department’s internal standards

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or other technical field or 2+ years of directly relevant professional experience
  • Working knowledge of C# and Microsoft SQL
  • Desire to utilize a wide array of tools and technologies to solve a variety of customer problems
  • Passion for leveraging data to drive continuous improvement both internally and for our customers

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant experience within an industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with manufacturing information software suites such as FactoryTalk, AVEVA, or Ignition
  • Ability to identify and resolve requirement uncertainties through customer collaboration
  • Working knowledge of.NET Core, MVC, Git, and Azure DevOps

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability and desire to learn new things quickly and teach them to others
  • Proven troubleshooting and critical thinking proficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cross-functional team
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to communicate directly with customers having varied technical backgrounds

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

Office Work:

  • Office desk/cubicle environment
  • Extensive computer use

Site Work:

  • Comply with all Cybertrol safety guidelines and requirements for site work

On-Site working conditions may include:

  • Work around construction equipment and personnel
  • Work around production equipment and personnel
  • Work in hot or cold areas
  • Work in noisy areas
  • Work up and down stairs, indoors and outdoors
  • Working and interfacing with operations, maintenance, engineering, equipment supply, and construction personnel.

Typical Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) Required: Safety Glasses, Steel Toed shoes, hearing protection, and electrical safety PPE.

  • Employees must comply with customer specific requirements and PPE.
  • Work may include working weekends, holidays, nightshift, and extended hours to meet deadlines and commissioning requirements.
