Role Description The Childcare Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Bellevue, NE, responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities for children in a classroom setting. Day-to-day duties include supervising children to ensure safety, guiding social and emotional development, and supporting early literacy, numeracy, and motor skills through structured and play-based learning. The Childcare Teacher will maintain a clean, organized classroom environment, communicate regularly with families about their child’s progress, and collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum. The role also includes observing and documenting children’s development, managing routines such as meals and rest times, and following all licensing, health, and safety guidelines. The teacher is expected to participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Experience or training in early childhood education, including knowledge of pedagogy and kindergarten-level learning.

  • Ability to work with children in childcare settings, supporting their physical, social, and emotional well-being.

  • Creativity skills to design engaging activities, learning centers, and play-based curriculum.

  • Easily adaptable to changing classroom needs, different learning styles, and diverse family backgrounds.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with children, families, and colleagues.

  • Ability to maintain a safe, organized classroom and follow health, safety, and licensing regulations.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • \n

  • Prior experience in childcare, preschool, or kindergarten settings is highly beneficial.
  • \n

  • CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
