Magic Rock City is a specialty rock, crystal, metaphysical, and candy shop that provides many different types of stones and crystals to rock collectors of all types of people from rockhounds to crystal healers. We carry all natural raw formation stones, polished rocks, and several different shapes and figures. We also sell candy and items of metaphysical and spiritual nature.
Job Description - Help the store manager achieve all store goals, tasks, and functions. Assist other employees to achieve all store goals, tasks, and functions. Assist all customers with their rock, crystal, candy, and metaphysical shopping throughout the entire process. Give your wonderful energy to others while they shop our magical store. Keep everyone happy by keeping the store stocked and pretty.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Be energetic and very happy!
- Assist customers with shopping, answer questions, accurately ring up sales and handle cash, stock the store, trash removal, clean everything, work freight and new items.
- Provide World Class Customer Service to everyone.
- Greet and engage everyone.
- Build rapport through conversation and honest recommendations.
- Invite customers to visit us on social media and website.
- Communicate clearly and precisely in English.
- Supervise a retail team.
- Adjust daily schedule for shift personnel to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Train and evaluate employees.
- Resolve customer and employee concerns in accordance with company policy.
- Be professional in behavior, dress, and appearance standards.
- Maintain excellent attendance standards. Have reliable transportation.
- Accurately perform data entry and math.
- Carry keys. Open and close the store.

- Stand for long periods of time, for the entire shift, up to 8 hours.
- Bend, lift, twist, push, and stretch intermittently for 8 hours per day.
- Walk throughout their shift for up to 8 hours per day.
- Carry/lift/push 10 pounds of weight for up 8 hours per day.
- Carry/lift/push 10-40 pounds weight periodically 6-8 hours per day.
- Carry/lift/push over 40 pounds weight occasionally up to 8 hours per day.
- Work Solo, by themselves, without supervision for 8 hours per day.
Other Qualifications
- All employees/candidates must be willing to submit to illegal drug/alcohol screening.
- Candidates must have 1+ years' experience in a retail, sales, or related fields.
- Candidates must be able to provide verifiable work and attendance references.
