About the Opportunity
Riley Bennett & Egloff is seeking a highly professional and detail‐driven Legal Assistant to support our Litigation, Corporate and Estate Law practice groups. This position requires strong organizational capabilities, excellent judgment, and the ability to manage sensitive client matters with discretion.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, revise, and finalize litigation, estate and corporate documents
- File pleadings with both state and federal courts
- Assist with estate and trust administration tasks, including preparing probate filings, maintaining docket deadlines, and tracking required court submissions
- Maintain attorney calendars, and manage scheduling for client meetings and internal deadlines
- Communicate professionally with clients, financial institutions, courts, and fiduciaries
- Assist with document recording, corporate and e‐filing, and interaction with county probate courts
- Perform general administrative duties including correspondence management, scanning, and document organization
- Provide administrative support for litigation matters.
- Docket case deadlines and maintain calendar to confirm all deadlines are met.
- Transcribe, type, proofread and finalize documents, correspondence, memos, minutes, charts, forms, billings.
- Maintain electronic documents and files.
- Schedule and arrange witness interviews and other meetings.
- Maintain confidential information, files, records, legal documents, and reports.
Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting litigation, corporate and estate planning attorneys is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology related to litigation, corporate, and estate matters
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
