Founded 25 years ago, we offer digital banking, lending, and commercial services for both individuals and businesses, including online checking and savings accounts, CDs, personal loans, business accounts, and industry-specific commercial banking solutions. We provide digital-first products, such as mobile banking, online transfers, and enhanced security features, for customers seeking convenience and innovative financial tools.

We are seeking a Lead EA to oversee 3-5 architects driving the design and implementation of innovative technology solutions in the digital banking sector. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in architecture and development to ensure that our systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with business goals.

This role is a full-time, onsite position reporting to our San Diego office with the opportunity to work from our Irvine location once a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enterprise architecture strategies that support business objectives in the FinTech and digital banking sectors.
  • Lead the assessment of current technology architecture and recommend improvements to enhance performance and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and deliver technology solutions that meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Analyze and integrate emerging technology trends into the existing architecture to drive digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in security architecture and data management.
  • Oversee the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and implement Agile methodologies to optimize project delivery.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders and communicate architectural vision effectively across the organization.
  • Lead solution design efforts and oversee system integration and data integration activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture
  • Recent career experience spent in Banking
  • Leadership / People Management
  • Well-versed in Architecture Management, setting up Enterprise Operating Models, and setting up Architecture Review Boards from scratch
  • Experience with .NET Core, Java, and other relevant technologies (we're excited about folks who are tech agnostic!)
  • Knowledge of current technology trends and digital transformation initiatives related to AI
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Benefits

  • Base Salary: $180K-$225K depending on experience
  • Bonus: 10% cash + 10% RSUs (discretionary, semi-annual)
