Job Summary: The Front Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front desk, ensuring that all guests receive outstanding service while maintaining a smooth and efficient front office. This role will involve leading a team of front desk staff, managing reservations, and handling guest inquiries and complaints. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for hospitality.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Leadership and Management:
- Supervise daily operations of the front desk and concierge services.
- Recruit, train, and evaluate front office staff, providing ongoing coaching and development.
- Foster a culture of exceptional guest service, motivating the team to meet and exceed standards.
Guest Relations:
- Ensure all guests receive prompt and courteous service.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and efficient manner.
- Conduct follow-ups to ensure guest satisfaction and recovery when necessary.
Reservations and Billing:
- Oversee the management of room inventory and reservations system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Process check-ins and check-outs, handling payments and billing inquiries.
- Monitor room availability and rates, adjusting as necessary to maximize occupancy.
Administrative Duties:
- Prepare daily and weekly reports related to front office operations.
- Monitor front office financial transactions and budget adherence.
- Collaborate with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, etc.) to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure front desk operations comply with hotel policies and procedures, health and safety regulations, and emergency protocols.
- Assist in implementing new technologies and systems to enhance guest experience and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of [2-4] years of experience in hotel front office operations, with at least [1-2] years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to providing an outstanding guest experience.
- Proficient in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, PMS systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
