What You’ll Do

Lead the SOC: Serve as the technical lead in our Security Operations Center—monitoring, detecting, and responding to threats with precision.
Align Security with Ministry: Work cross-functionally to ensure cybersecurity supports and strengthens our Biblical mission and daily operations.
Manage Risk Proactively: Conduct risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure access controls reflect least-privilege principles.
Respond with Confidence: Investigate incidents, contain threats, and lead remediation efforts while keeping stakeholders informed and equipped.
Optimize Our Tech Stack: Configure and maintain industry-leading platforms including Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto, Zscaler, and CrowdStrike.
Evaluate New Tools: Stay ahead of the curve by researching and presenting new security solutions that prepare us for what’s next.
Mentor with Purpose: Guide junior analysts and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and spiritual growth.

What You Bring

Strong Technical Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in computer science/IT (or equivalent experience), with proven hands-on experience in SIEM, DLP, EDR, and vulnerability scanning.
Cloud & Network Security Expertise: Experience securing Azure (primary) and AWS environments, along with configuring enterprise firewalls with Palo Alto and IDS/IPS systems.
IAM Proficiency: Familiarity with Azure AD, Okta, Duo, and other tools to ensure access is tightly managed.
Analytical Mindset: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex issues for technical and non-technical audiences alike.
