Summary: Supervises casino personnel. Responsibilities lie in the area of casino and bar operations including daily paperwork reconciliation, training, daily vault balance, bar inventory casino guest service, and employee scheduling. Assures adherence of all employees to company policies and procedures.
Essential Job Functions:
Direct compliance of supervised workers with established company policies, procedures, state required training and company standards such as safekeeping of company funds, property and guest service.
- Inspect premises of assigned area casino and bar to ensure that adequate security exists and the physical facility complies with safety and environmental codes and ordinances. Complete casino inspections by assigning and supervising the cleaning of the assigned areas of responsibility.
- Supervise and complete daily drops of machines and prepare daily deposits.
- Trains the casino associates in their roles as members of the team.
- Trains all employees in all phases of their job duties including providing excellent guest service to customers and other employees.
- Maintain daily, monthly and annual reports from data supplied.
- May be cross-trained to other operational areas in the absence of a supervisor from another area of the company.
- Maintains weekly work schedules for casino staff.
- Complete performance reviews as they are scheduled for associates under their supervision.
- Recommends the hiring and termination of the casino associates.
- Recommend associates for merit evaluations.
- Maintains casino staff licenses and permits to meet State of Louisiana Video Gaming Division requirements.
- Discuss with the Location Manager and prepare disciplinary actions for employees under their supervision.
- Assist in creating and communicating promotional activities of the casino, as well as in the store and grill.
- Reviews all reports generated with the Location Manager and General Manager.
- Maintain “VIP system” for customers besides understanding the basic operation of the system being able to produce reports that the system is capable of generating.
- Responsible for the supervision of maintaining, cleaning and repairing equipment in assigned areas of responsibility.
- Schedules and supervises all cleaning in the casino.
- Ensures compliance with any vendor contracts at location.
- Maintains all state and local issued permits for the location as required by the Louisiana Video Gaming Division.
- Communicate to the Location Manager any and all perceived or real issues involving the operation of the casino and the location.
- Responsible that all property safety reporting and responsibilities are met for the property.
- Provide and promote excellent guest service.

Qualifications:
To perform tasks successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous casino supervisor (1 or more years) experience and training.
- Language and Communication Skills: This position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Computer Skills: This position requires the working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Office and Ruby Verifone point of sale system.
- Mathematical Skills: The ability to understand profit and loss statements, trend charts, sales reports from the vendor, and statistical data generated from management information systems.
- Problem Solving and Reasoning Ability: The ability to solve practical problems by identifying the objectives and applying practical solutions. The ability to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- The ability to expand and supervise tasks that are either realized or assign through the course of daily operations.

- While performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to stand for up to 8 hours, stoop or kneel to stock or clean, use hands and arms to reach forward, side to side, above the head, grasp items and key punch.
- Ability to lift 50lbs at least 4 ft. off of the ground.
