Steel Projects has been developing software for the steel construction industry for 30 years, with the aim of improving business productivity.


As a member of the FICEP Group, the world's No. 1 manufacturer of machine tools for the steel construction industry, we are present alongside them in their worldwide distribution network.

For our US subsidiary, we are looking for a software specialist for the position of "Technician Installer Trainer"

This position entails traveling to Steel manufacturing facilities, primarily in the US and Canada, to implement our software product. There is also the opportunity for international travel as Steel Projects is a worldwide company. When not traveling, you will be in a customer support role. Support will involve assisting customers with software issues, performing remote installations and training.


The Responsibilities in the role will include the following:

  • Providing on-site training and technical setup for the Steel Projects PLM software solution.
  • Remote installation for upcoming on-site training.
  • Assisting customers with support-related questions via email and phone.
  • Generating post-installation paperwork.
  • Gathering customer feedback.

  • The ideal candidate will possess the following:

    • Associate’s degree or higher.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills.
    • Drive for problem solving.
    • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
    • Computer aptitude.
    • Use of Microsoft Office.
    • Basic understanding of Microsoft SQL.
    • Use of Microsoft Office.
    • Understanding of mechanical processes.
    • Basic understanding of tooling (drill, milling, etc.)
    • A Passport and valid driver's license are required for the position.


    Bonus skills:

    • Knowledge of CNC machining.
    • Knowledge of the structural steel industry.
    • Spanish speaking, but any language can be helpful.


    Salary:

    • Depending on experience
    • Fixed salary + travel allowance
    • 15 vacation days a year.
    • 8 Holidays.
