JOB SUMMARY:


Supervises all facets of the casino cages. Trains new employees and assists with maintaining training programs, cover vacations and office work to assist the Cage


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Responsible for assisting with all Cage operations including all revenues held in the cages. Supervising the Cage staff and/or filling any Cage position on any shift while ensuring the protection of all company assets within the Cage. Ensuring compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Internal Control Minimum Procedures, internal policies and procedures and Colorado Limited Gaming regulations. Assistant will be required to follow any other job-related instruction and to perform any other job-related duties requested by their supervisor.   • Protection of assets

  • Maintain payroll, overtime and tardiness

  • Ensure all pertinent information is distributed to the cages

  • Order currency weekly and communicate needs to Controller

  • Cover guest service representative shifts, as needed

  • Responsible for employee overages and shortages in accordance to the department policy

  • Continued improvements of cage systems and procedures

  • Development of cage automation and computer integration

  • Continued supervision of check cashing policies

  • Development of inner departmental cooperation and teamwork

  • Departmental scheduling and vacations

  • Plans, develops, and implements revised procedures

  • Development and sustain a department training program

  • Assist the Guest Services Manager in directing the day to day operations of the department.

  • Plans, trains, and implements the department Customer Service Program

  • Ensures training and understanding of compliance as stated in Division of Gaming regulations and in-house processes

  • Counseling, guiding and instructing employees in proper performance of their duties.

  • Direct and professional demeanor when speaking with guest and fellow employees.



QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Basic accounting experience or completion of college level courses required.

  • Basic computer skills, and ability to type 40 wpm required.

  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) 2003 or newer experience required.

  • Minimum of 1 year cash handling experience required.

  • Minimum of 1 year supervisor experience required.

  • Casino and/or bank experience preferred

  • Title 31/Anti-Money Laundering knowledge preferred.

Language Skills:

  • Must be able to communicate directly and professionally with all guests and fellow employees.

  • Must be a team player and enjoy working with and assisting people.



CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:


  • Must be able to obtain a valid State of Colorado Gaming Support License.

  • Must be able to obtain a valid State of Colorado Key Gaming License, at management’s request.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift objects up to 50 lbs. Requires long periods of standing, sitting, walking; eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity; normal vision/hearing range and absence of color blindness; the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols and use of basic math and accounting skills. Work is done in the casinos with varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality may differ from day to day.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Directly supervises between 25-35 non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; discipline; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
