Job DescriptionPaving LaborerWe are looking for a dependable, hard working individual that is willing to work long hours every day & not mind gitting dirty. This role supports asphalt paving, roadway construction, site preparation, and general labor activities. The position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and performing physically demanding tasks throughout the day.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in asphalt paving, patching, and roadway construction projects
- Prepare ground surfaces for paving
- Safely operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, and wheelbarrows
- Spread, level, and rake materials on job sites
- Load, move, and distribute tools and materials
- Work collaboratively with a team to complete projects efficiently
- Follow company policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including work trucks
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Use wheelbarrows, rakes, shovels, and other hand tools
- Lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment (20–75 lbs)
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, squat, and reach above/below shoulder and waist levels
- Perform repetitive motions involving arms, hands, legs, and back
- Work on uneven terrain around construction equipment
Qualifications:
- Previous paving, construction, or general labor experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
- Valid driver’s license required
