Job Description:
Addison Group is hiring on behalf of our client for a detail-oriented Supply Chain Coordinator. This role is responsible for supporting purchasing and inventory operations by ensuring timely order fulfillment, maintaining accurate system data, and collaborating with internal teams and external vendors. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates strong organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage open purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Communicate regularly with vendors to verify order status, shipment timelines, and address any delays
- Partner with internal departments such as procurement, planning, and warehouse teams to support inventory movement
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information within ERP systems, including shipment updates and delivery schedules
- Proactively identify and escalate urgent or delayed orders to minimize operational disruptions
- Evaluate supplier performance and share insights with the purchasing team
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to shipments, invoices, and order fulfillment
- Identify process improvement opportunities and take initiative to implement solutions
- Manage daily administrative tasks related to purchase order tracking and documentation
- Ensure purchase orders are entered accurately and efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Maintain organized records of completed and historical purchase orders
- Build and sustain professional relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Coordinate creation of work orders based on internal requests
- Utilize multiple systems and tools to manage data and workflows effectively
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to meet business needs
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in supply chain, expediting, purchasing, inventory, or procurement within a manufacturing setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
