Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Expeditor to join our dynamic procurement team. In this vital role, you will ensure the timely procurement of materials, components, and services necessary for manufacturing and construction projects. Your focus will be on streamlining supply chain operations, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining optimal inventory levels to support project timelines and operational efficiency.

Duties

  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to expedite purchase orders and resolve any delays or issues.
  • Monitor procurement schedules using ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle EBS to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
  • Track inventory levels and collaborate with inventory management teams to prevent shortages or excess stock.
  • Communicate proactively with manufacturing and project managers to prioritize urgent orders and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Manage supplier relationships through effective negotiation of pricing, delivery terms, and contracts to maximize value.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, delivery confirmations, and contract documentation.
  • Support sourcing activities by identifying new suppliers and evaluating vendor performance for continuous improvement.

Skills

  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle EBS for procurement management and supply chain oversight.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes including sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
  • Experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to forecast needs and optimize inventory control.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers.
  • Knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, and inventory management best practices.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple departments ensuring seamless procurement workflows.
